Yet another pollinator study (this time with Bumblebees)

Yesterday we started a new study on the effects of PFAS on pollinators.
We have placed 30 Bumblebee colonies along a field where we have sown a special seed-mix of flowers for pollinators. It is on our own farm (Lilla Böslid). The 30 colonies are divided into 5 treatments that recieve sugar solution mixed with tap water and water from the stream Kistingebäcken (with PFAS) in 5 different concentrations. We will then investigate the performance of the colonies (flight activity, pollen collection, growth etc) and how PFAS contaminated water affect the colonies.
