We will use eDNA-methods to get data on fish presence in our measures

This week we have had visits from the Centre for Genetic Identification (CGI) at the Museum of Natural History in Stockholm (Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet). We have commissioned them to sample 30 wetlands, IBZs and amphibian ponds to investigate the occurence of different fish species, by using the method of eDNA.
We will also use this oppertunity to analyse for dragonflies and other invertebrates in the wetlands. Now we are wating for the results of the analyses. It is very exiting on many levels. To get data on fish will be very interesting, and also to compare data on dragonfly-DNA in the water with the monitoring we have done both of adult dragonflies and dragonfly larvea.
